the tail end of our dune bashing included a stop in a wadi and a view of an old fort. The term wadi is an arabic term for valley or dry river bed. sometimes the dry riverbed will have water in it during heavy rains...which i'm sure you can imagine...isn't very often. ;)
bithna fort. built in 1735, although there is discussion that it wasn't built until a bit later, was considered one of the most important fortresses in the UAE.
