digital proof sale...

an inspiration to me...
i have to tell ya...this woman is amazing. period. i met torie and two of her three kids about a year or so ago. she wanted to do a session but her hubby was on cruise. that's ok...i said...i'm sure he'll still enjoy photos of just you and the kids. so we went on with the session...
fast forward to this past october. torie calls me and lets me know that her hubby is coming back from yet another cruise just in time to make it to our monterey session. awesome!! i finally get to meet the mr. then she adds...we have a new baby too. what????? again, awesome!!! so...torie shows up in monterey...not where she lives by the way...with two kids and a newborn and no hubby. what????? the boat was delayed and he didn't make it back in time for our beach session. being the most awesomest woman i know, she said...but i decided to bring the kids (all 3 of them) down anyway and do the session. whatcha gonna do? my jaw dropped. i almost started crying right then and there. actually...i think i did start crying!!!
we had a lot of fun hanging out in carmel and taking pics of her and the kids. the kids were wonderful...she never raised her voice...everyone behaved wonderfully and we had a blast. if it was me, i'd a been half bald...kids would have been fighting and running around i would be rocking in a corner crying. ha ha ha...
by the way...i did meet up with torie in december. this time she had the whole family including the hubby!!! check back soon for those pics!!!!

the beautiful naomi...
is she not the most gorgeous girl? we were lucky enough to have naomi as a babysitter when we lived in cali. if it wasn't for her...i would not have had a business. she was always available at the drop of a hat to run over and hang with the kids so i could get to a session...all while my hubby was out to sea. she is truly an amazing girl...

naomi will be off to college at the end of the summer...but for now she's a beautiful and smart high school senior. take a peek at naomi. :)

the cowans...
this past october becky and i took to the beach. :) we had a few sessions interested in getting sand in their pants so what better place to go than monterey and carmel. it was amazing! we had the absolute best time hanging out with our clients and sniffing the ocean air. (becky and i are both from the beach and we miss it sooooooo much!!)
the cowans were our first victims of the weekend. it was great to catch up with them. i had't seen them for quite awhile. their kids are getting so tall!!!!! we had fun running through the sand and chasing birds and trying not to get too wet. it was a little chilly after all. ;)

so the BIG news...
as most of you know, my husband's in the navy. we've been in reno for 2.5 years and it's time to move on. we've had a blast here...and have met some really amazing folks. i'll be so sad to leave...
so...where are we going??? let me give you three hints:
1. we will still be in the desert
2. this desert will have palm trees
3. and a beach
the answer...BAHRAIN!!! Yes...Bahrain as in the middle-east. Ahhhhh!!! my hubby just received word that we will be leaving here at the end of april and there is SOOOO much to do. you have no idea what it takes to move a family of four half way across the world until you do it. it's crazy!! with the big news come big changes. i will be having a

the sale will begin today and end on april 1st, 2010. on april 1st, i will be temporarily closing my business. i am still waiting to find out if i can run my business out there. if i am, feel free to come out for an awesome camel session. although i would suggest you not visit during the summer. ;) i will be making periodic trips back to the U.S. to see family and some greenery. please visit the blog to see when those dates are. i'll be happy to squeeze in a few sessions here and there during our time back. one last note...after i'm caught up on blogging my backlogged sessions...i will move into documenting our move, travels and our very warm 730 days in bahrain. trust me...it will be entertaining!!! i will be posting photos too...so make sure you check in every now and again. if you are interested in ordering any sessions from 2006 until 2010, please let me know know. send me a quick email at priscilla@priscillabvarner.com. come april 1st...i'll be shutting the doors...so to speak. ;)

the fleck ~ stanton wedding...
oh my gosh...this wedding was so relaxed and fun! i met ms. fleck two years ago when i photographed a charity raft race. she was so very nice and helpful and i was super stoked when she asked me to photograph her wedding. the day was great. awesome becky and i chased the bride and groom throughout reno ending up at this great park in galena. the venue was tucked back in the woods and everything was just so family oriented. they really celebrated the blending of two families and i don't think i've cried so much at a wedding in my life!! becky and i were very lucky to be there... and made the most of it. check out their nuptials...

how cute is this lil dude??? this lil guys was a ton of fun. we were all cracking up when e dug into his cake!! It was awesome. And the fun post party pics in the tub were soooo cute! thanks so much jen for having me over. it was a blast! now check out those shots...

what's up with all the preger folks here?? i sure hope it's not contagious!!! ha ha ha...so my last session of my virginia trip was with the tippetts. the last time i saw them...they were in a different state, so was i for that matter, and i was doing newborn photos of their daughter. i can't believe it's been that long! it was great to see the family and catch up. apparently they were expecting another bundle of joy!!! check out our awesome little field session...

hey there!!! i'm back from my extended holiday break and boy do i have news for you. i'm gonna try and catch up on all my holiday sessions so we're gonna start with a couple of sessions from virginia beach...i promise i'll get to the news. :)
meet the gustafsons. this family is great. we've been friends for what seems like forever...in a good way. :) mrs. g has to be one of the funniest individuals on the planet. our sessions are always fun...and sometimes i'm laughing so hard i forget to take the pictures!!! this session was no different. this year we headed to williamsburg to do a retro look...complete with apple pie. we roamed around, had a small sword fight and finished up with the kids chomping down on the pie. it was a wonderful, wonderful morning. take a peek at the gustafsons taking on williamsburg...
